About Laura...

Laura was born in East Lansing, Michigan on March 17, 1960 to parents Beverly and James Baten.

 

After high school she completed several years at Michigan State University and University of Michigan before moving on to a number of jobs in the resort industry. Laura met Mike in San Diego, California in 1992. They married several years later in Colorado. After moving to Washington state Laura became a dedicated mother to Alex in 2001. She loved the mountains and beaches as well as all her pet dogs and cats.

Laura was initially diagnosed with cancer in 2011. Her strength allowed her to continue normal life for several years but she finally succumbed on the morning of January 30, 2020. Laura is survived by her son Alexander, husband Mike, mom Beverly and two brothers, Jeff and Bill.
